Description

The Facility Commander Wnx Global Certification course is an advanced course to teach technicians how to install and configure a regional / global system. This is an intense 4-day course that requires prior certification and experience with Facility Commander Wnx. Class size is limited to nine participants given the advanced applications. To be successful during and after the class, students must have the listed prerequisites.

Prerequisites

  • Must be Facility Commander Wnx certified and recommend at least six months experience with the product
  • Intermediate understanding of desktop computing and operating systems
  • Intermediate understanding of servers, operating systems, and networking
  • Familiarity with SQL Management Studio, SQL Server 2005, and M/S Windows 2003 Server
  • Basic training or experience with access control and alarm management principles and systems

Course Objectives

  • Install and configure a SQL database to support Facility Commander Global Wnx
  • Establish DNS resolution between systems
  • Verify system time zone and synchronize systems
  • Configure Facility Commander Wnx Global system
  • Configure replication application using directory file services
  • Configure backup regions options
  • Create file server redundancy and a database backup for the global system
  • Add a new global group to the domain and add clients to a global or regional server
  • Recover a regional server after a failover
  • Identify issues and repair an installed FCWnx Global System

Certification

Upon successful completion of this course you are awarded Product Certification. The certification is valid for the life of the product or until a major product revision. Upon major product revision, you are eligible to participate in the re-certification program.
