Description

This course teaches the delegate how to install and configure the Alliance Software, establish a serial connection to a FP1200/FP2000 fire panel and use the software to control and monitor the system via graphical interface.

Who should attend

Course Topics

It is a requirement that the delegate has successfully completed the Aritech Fire Detection course. Delegates are recommended to have attended the FDIA SANS10139 course. This course requires that each delegate have basic PC skills.

  • Alliance Backup and Restore
  • Alliance Basic Operation
  • Alliance Alarm monitoring, acknowledgment and filtering
  • Alliance Map configuration
  • Alliance FP1200/FP2000 system control via maps and specific functions

 

Course Objectives

  • Understand the capability and features of the Alliance Software
  • Successfully install and configure the Alliance Software
  • Use the Alliance software to connect a FP1200/FP2000 fire panel
  • Use the Alarm monitor pop-up to acknowledge alarms
  • Configure and use maps to locate fire devices in alarm condition and control the FP1200/FP2000 panel
  • Use the Alarm filter function to disable unneeded alarms from popping up in the alarm monitor form

Certification

Certification of this module requires the successful completion of the practical scenario. Upon successful completion of the course a certificate will be issued which will be valid for a 2-year period from the date completion.
