Description
The Alliance 8300 Certification course is a 2.5 day classroom training program. This course is composed of:
- 0.5 day IP training (general knowledge and operating system related options)
- 2 day Alliance 8300 Software training focused on its installation, configuration, and operations.
Classroom topics also include client-server connectivity, CCTV and Fire equipment management and control, and troubleshooting tools. Participants will also learn how to administer a system along with viewing and printing applicable reports and backing up and restoring a system.
Product Certification requires the completion of classes on the Advisor Master product line as well as Advisor Master Access control. This knowledge is product specific and is required to help reduce class hours.

Prerequisites
- Intermediate understanding of desktop computing and operating systems
- Intermediate understanding of servers, operating systems, and networking
- Familiarity with SQL Enterprise Manager, SQL Server 2000, and M/S Windows Clustering
- Basic training or experience with Advisor Master Intrusion & Access control
- Basic training or experience with CCTV equipment (DVR’s and camera’s)
- Basic training or experience with Fire Alarm Systems preferred
Course Objectives
- Install Alliance 8300 and all applicable additional options
- • Configure Intrusion & Access control panel
- Configure Intrusion & Access accessories
- Configure CCTV connectivity
- Configure Fire Alarm System connectivity
- Employ Integrated Alarm Graphics to create a visual representation of the facilities and all cameras, alarm points, access control points and Fire Alarm points
- Understand and use person & card management
- Control and manage the facilities from Alarm Graphics
- Understand how and when to use available monitors
- Extract information using standard reports
- Create facility operator permissions
- Configure client-server connectivity to share a database
- Use built in troubleshooting tools to resolve problems
- View live video and record alarm events
- View and utilize system operation reports
- Perform system backup and restore
Certification
Upon successful completion of this course you are awarded Product Certification. The certification is valid for the life of the product or until a major product revision occurs. Upon major product revision you are eligible to participate in the re-certification program. Upon successful completion of this course you are awarded Alliance 8300 Certification. The certification is valid for the life of Alliance 8300 or until a major product revision. Upon major product revision you are eligible to participate in the re-certification program. The certification includes a copy of Alliance 8300 with a one year license. |
