Description
This course firstly provides the delegate with working knowledge of all the different hardware components that represents the Advisor MASTER system. Secondly it teaches how to connect all the components covered and shows what best practices need to be used to successfully install and startup the advisor MASTER system.

- RS485 Communications Data Bus
o Protocol distance
o Termination
o Shielding
- Description of RAS’s & DGP’s
- Description of different types of expansion modules
- Installation of various interfaces
- ATS numbering system (Doors, Inputs & Outputs)
- Wiring RAS’s & DGP’s to the data bus, and wiring the data bus to control panel
- Powering-up and initializing the Advisor Master control panel

Course Objectives
- Understand the functioning of each hardware module and where it is connected on the Advisor MASTER system.
- Understand what type of data bus cable is required, and how the data bus should be earthed and terminated
- Understand the different types of data bus topologies and their restrictions
- Understand different types of input wiring configurations (DEOL/SEOL)
- Grasp how the advisor MASTER system assigns numbers to doors, inputs and outputs
- Understand the differences between DGP’s and RAS’s and how they are connected to the data bus
- Understand how DGP’s and RAS’s are addressed
- Understand the procedure of powering-up and initializing the Advisor MASTER
Certification
Certification of this module requires the successful completion of the practical scenario, and achieving at least 75% in the theoretical test. Upon successful completion of the course a certificate will be issued which will be valid for a 2-year period from the date completion. |
